This review is from: Speck Products Presidio Clear Case for iPhone 8 Plus (Also fits 7S/7 Plus and 6S/6 Plus), Clear/Clear (Wireless Phone Accessory)
I love this case. I’m not sure what happened with the reviews saying it doesn’t fit the iPhone 8 Plus. Mine did indeed come in a box mentioning only the iPhone 7 Plus and 6s and 6 Plus on the outside, but the fit and button cover alignment on my 8 Plus is flawless. It popped on in a second, fit perfectly, and immediately looked and felt great. I just took another careful look based on the complaints here, and because the case is clear, you can literally *see* the button covers, aligned exactly over the power button and both volume buttons. The cutouts for the camera lenses and light, as well as the speakers and lightning connector, are all aligned as well. I will try to attach a picture showing all this.

Button controversy (ha!) aside, I really like this case. It has a slick texture that slides easily in and out of a pocket, but does not feel slippery in the hand. It seems stiff and sturdy enough to provide good protection, but adds very little thickness. I like that the corners have their own shock absorbing feature, and that the front edge of the case extends just enough past the face of the phone to ensure that if you put it face down the glass should be off the surface. The material is perfectly clear viewed head-on, so it shows off the back of the phone well, and sort of “disappears” along the side, although you can see some “rainbow” effect indicating small distortions in the plastic if you look at the back from an angle.

As for the price, I suspect it could be sold for a bit less, but I like Speck and find their products to be well made. I didn’t want to risk a no-name case turning out to be poorly put together or fragile.

UPDATE: Within about 4 months, the softer bits on the case — the button covers and corner bumpers — have begun to stiffen and yellow, apparently due to UV damage. That’s disappointing, especially given I don’t leave the phone in the sun at all. I realize it may be difficult to source clear materials that are UV-resistant, but for the premium price (I think about $40 when I purchased) Speck should have done better. I’ve never had a cellphone case just age to death like this and don’t appreciate that I’ll need a new one soon.

    Adjusting to 3 stars.

Does not fit iPhone 8 properly, September 24, 2017
    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I ordered this case for an iPhone 8. My shipment contained a case for iPhone 7. The iPhone 8 is fractionally thicker than the iPhone 7. Although the phone fits inside the case just fine, the additional thickness causes the button presser for the On/Off button to not hit the button properly. This makes the case unusable for an iPhone 8.

When Speck revises this case to account for the additional thickness, it will be an attractive case option. As it stands, take a pass on this one.

This is a lie. This case is not made for iPhone 8. And it does not fit properly. It clearly says on the package that was sent to me that is for the iPhone 6 6S and 7. The eight is similar in size but the buttons don’t work when this case is on. I spent $40 on this case because it was supposed to be for the iPhone 8. They lied. I’m returning. It’s useles to me. One star because I came leave zero
